Logchecker Download

Medit v5.99 Download
This is a command-line text editor for Linux/Raspbian/Cygwin and most Unix's, written in C. Made because I detest Vi, and I didn't like any of the alternatives (Emacs, etc). You will need to compile this yourself, using the scripts supplied.
In the past, this could be compiled for use in a Windows DOS/command box, but it is doubtful that this could happen again. And with so many excellent Windows text editors available, what would be the point?
The latest verson 5.99 fixes a long-standing bug that caused intermittent crashes.
Draughts v6 Download
This is a Windows command-line program that plays Draughts (the game is called Checkers in the U.S.)
To run correctly, this program must be run in a Windows Command window, with the font set to 12x16 raster font, and a window size of at least 130x45. Use the cursor keys and the enter key to select the piece to move.
The playing engine is fairly unique (I think) because it is able to learn from playing experience. The learning feature can be turned on or off, and the knowledge is stored in a small database file. This means that a beginner can start learning the game, and the program will learn at the same time, and, in theory, continue to challenge the player as they progress.
